Adjustment of Status is the final step in the green card process that occurs once an immigrant visa petition is approved by USCIS and a visa number is available for the applicant. As of April 1, 2024, USCIS updated its fee structure, and now, in addition to the Adjustment of Status filing fees, applicants are also required to pay fees for concurrently filed applications for Advance Parole and Employment Authorization Documents. Previously, there was no charge for these applications when filed alongside the Adjustment of Status application, making this change significant for applicants navigating the process.
